Sun Lotus Yoga Hybrid Teacher Training program is an opportunity for you to embark on a transformative journey. In this program, we delve into the 26 & 2 Yoga Series with Joseph Encinia, exploring nuanced postures, principles, and the foundational philosophy of Hatha Yoga. Beyond the physical, we emphasize the balance of opposing forces, fostering harmony in both body and mind. This Teacher Training will be a journey to discover your power, refine your yoga practice, and ultimately start you on your path to teaching the 26 & 2 Beginners Yoga Series.

We offer a flexible, hybrid program online and two weeks on-site with posture clinics, lectures, and anatomy lessons.

200-Hours Yoga Alliance certification (approval in process).



  • Yoga Techniques & Yoga Practice | Learn to guide others through the complete execution of the Yoga Sequence, 26 postures & 2 breathing exercises.

  • Methodology, Posture Lab, & Teaching Skills | Learning topics include understanding and interpreting dialogue, connecting with diverse student populations, commanding language, and receiving feedback.

  • Yoga Anatomy | Anatomy topics cover basic principles of the body as they relate to performing asana.

  • Yoga Lifestyle, Ethics, & Philosophy | Learn the history of yoga and the ethical responsibilities of a yoga teacher including the Ghosh lineage and major yoga schools.

  • Professional Development and Practicum | Discover the important traits of a professional yoga instructor and apply understanding of dialogue and posture delivery in a real-world setting.

  • Online Schedule: M-Th 8-9:30PM / Sa 12:30-3:30PM / Su 1:30-3:30PM (ET) / Fridays off.

  • Non-refundable Deposit: $600

    • Note: Refundable in the case of the application not being accepted.

Accommodation Choices for In-Person Module:

  1. Double-Occupancy Room: $5,995 (Includes deposit)

  2. Single-Occupancy Cabin: $6,495 (Includes deposit)

  • Note: Double-occupancy cabins are available at a rate of $6095 per person upon request only for participants traveling together.

Pricing Includes:

  • Online Module:

    • Four weeks of live online training sessions.

    • Educational materials: Detailed manual and script.

    • Free live online classes at Sun Lotus Center for the duration of the training. And a 10-class card upon completion of the training.

    • Online yoga anatomy course.

  • In-Person Module:

    • Two weeks of in-person classes and training sessions.

  • Accommodations at Hotel DoceLunas in Jaco, Costa Rica (In-Person Module):

    • Dates: May 5 to 18th, 2024.

    • Includes breakfast and lunch every day. Dinner on the first and last day.

  • Round-Trip Airport Transportation:

    • Provided on May 5 and May 18, 2024.

    • Note: Flights are not included.

  • Certificate of Completion.



All trainees are expected to abide by the Code of Conduct and Policies.



Graduation from our program requires the student’s attendance at all training sessions. Any absence must be approved in advance by our program director. A maximum of 6 hours may be missed if arranged in advance and approved by the program director. We will provide four make-up sessions totaling 6 hours, included in the tuition price during the in-person module.

Unapproved absences may result in dismissal from the program. In this case, graduation will be at the sole discretion of the program director.


Any student arriving over 10 minutes late for class will be docked an hour from their training hours and must attend a make-up session to complete the program. Continuous tardiness may result in the removal of the student from the program.


Upon completion of the training, every participant is expected to showcase proficiency in leading a complete 26 & 2 class and a comprehensive understanding of the training content.
